Hi friends,

Last Friday we had a character book parade at school kicking off our upcoming book drive. Mrs. Hubbert and I had loved seeing all of friends in their costumes! Every one looked awesome! Check out all of our cool pictures to see who we saw walking the halls at LSE! book-parade-2

Mrs. Hubbert was Goldilicious, and Mrs. Ortega (another 1st grade teacher) was Pinkalicious. Their costumes were super fun. I decided to be Gerald from the Elephant and Piggy series by Mo Willems. my costume was easy. 😉

Other characters we had in our class were Gilbert The Shark from Gilbert In Deep, Cowboy Clyde, Cat In The Hat by Dr. Seuss, The Mouse from If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, another mouse from The Gruffalo, Piggie from Elephant and Piggy, Turbo The Snail, and we even saw Pete The Cat. (Mrs. Williams looked groovy!) There were plenty more, but that’s just to name a few.

Everyone also loved seeing Mrs. Smith as The Purple Crayon from The Day The Crayons Quit!

We sure did have an excited time at the book parade. Mrs. Hubbert’s class looked great, and all the costumes were wonderful! We can’t wait for our next book parade. Love, Wellie

Wellington's Wonders

Hi, I'm Wellington! You can call me Wellie for short. Welcome to my blog. I am in Mrs. Hubbert's 1st grade class. My favorite things to do are reading books, blogging about my travels, and helping all of my friends in 1st grade learn about reading, math, science, social studies, and writing so we can all be successful throughout the school year. Read more about me in the ABOUT section. Happy Learning. :)
