Wellington The Elephant is a fictional character. He is the much loved product of Mrs. Hubbert’s 1st grade classroom. The actual events of Wellington’s life however are in fact true.

Wellington (who goes by Wellie for short) has been loved and adored by over two hundred 5 & 6 year olds. He has traveled the world with family, and friends, and brings those experiences back into the classroom showing the students places from The Statue of Liberty, to The Golden Gate Bridge, and many more.

When Wellie isn’t traveling in his spare time he is learning new things everyday, and sharing them with all of his friends in Mrs. Hubbert’s 1st grade class. Wellie’s favorite things are reading books, blogging about his travels, and helping all of his friends in 1st grade learn about reading, math, science, social studies, and writing so they will be successful throughout the year.
